No offense everyone; but why on earth are you EVEN bothering to be suprised that the MSM is not covering Cindy in any shape or form? It is SO crystal clear (this coming from someone who does not usually tin-foil). Could they be any more obviously stretching stories to cover empty air time? Could the MSM or the RW be ANY more desparate? The ever more ridiculous distraction stories are extremly telling; PLEASE don't fall for it. This is historic. They are just about to overreach themselves and you're gonna miss it if you aren't paying attention. Drop the 9/11 clinton-blaming distraction and the attack on US soil and the Iranian Nuke capeabilities and even the Cindy "flip-flop" propaganda for JUST 24 hours and concentrate on getting someone to pay attn. to Crawford. Because all of that is just cleverly concocted distraction. Do they really think we are going to fall for it? Yes. DON'T.
THE MOST pervasive and important image PERIOD will either be
1)Cindy being led away in handcuffs on live TV
OR
2)the hundreds (hopefully more)of people gathered around her to protest--and staying.
I of course would rather her NOT be arrested at all. Like she really needs more piled on her than is there already. However, I DARE them to spin that picture convincingly. That passes belivibility. This is a great chance to get to the people we most need--the "average" RW family. Who can argue with a mother's love for her son?
"the moral authority of parents who bury children killed in Iraq is absolute" --Maureen Dowd. Try spending THAT "moral" capital Mr. B*.
Come ON people. This is one of the defining moments. Pay attention.
The DSM isn't going anywhere. It exists. There are copies. THIS time will not last. Grab it.
(I'm doing my best to; as it were)

1. The police said today that unless
someone is trespassing on private property or blocking the road, no one will be arrested.

3. I'm starting to imagine a Human Wave that washes up in Crawford
Edited on Wed Aug-10-05 10:26 PM by Hardhead
Getting bigger by the day, until the media cannot ignore it anymore. Until hundreds of thousands of people show up from out of nowhere on all the roads leading to the Pig Ranch. I'm starting to wonder if I could arrange things to get out there for a few days and not lose my job.

Even after Cindy leaves, the Pig Ranch is still there, an obvious point of annoyance for Flight-Suit Boy. Just as long as he knows there are people out there waiting to speak with him, he will find his self-earned prison a little tighter and meaner. Even that small satisfaction is worth the effort. I want to make the Hajj to Crawford. Because if she's done nothing else, Cindy has shown us that everyone of us has the right to speak to the president. It's bigger than her. Much bigger.

4. And he has denied way too many Americans the right by filling
his stupid townhall meetings and appearances with hand picked followers, throwing out people who simply had a Kerry bumper sticker on their car. It is time to dethrone the King. We don't need no stickin' king, and, if we did, I'd sure want a smarter one.

5. Indeedy!
A lousy king is far worse than none at all. And a good one is no better.

8. What is "I am the doorway"?
It sounds interesting, but its definitely a reference to something I haven't read/seen before... at least, I don't think I have.

10. That was his best book, IMO
All downhill after that, though there have been some highlights since. I can't stand his novels, for the most part.
