Tolstoy captured absolute truth in his story, "The Three Questions" These three most important questions are oh so applicable today.
When is the most important time? Now.
For Ms. Sheehan, Now is so very important because soldiers are dying every day.
For Bush, Now is too late... he waisted his moment of power.
For us, Now is so very important because Ms. Sheehan and the soldiers need us to raise our voice and convince America to pull out of Iraq and to recognize that what we are doing is wrong.
Who is the most important one? The one you are with.
Ms. Sheehan is always with her son in spirit, and for her, the soldiers she can save represent the one she is with.
Bush neglects the one he is with, the American people.
For us, the American people, the one we are with is each other and we are all with Ms. Sheehan.
What is the most important thing to do? To do good for the one you are with.
Ms. Sheehan is doing good for her son and for the troops by doing what she can to convince the powers that be to get out of Iraq.
For Bush to do good for the American people, he must respect the will of the American people. The American people say we have gone to war in Iraq under false pretenses and we must get out of Iraq and make amends by bringing those in the government who have harmed us to justice and by returning to finding those who attacked us on 9/11 and bring them to justice.
For the American people to do good for each other, we must come together as one voice and insist that our government honors its commitment to its responsibilities to the people.
