20. About that troop morale

If I were in Iraq fighting this war, I think my morale would be far more severely affected by the people shooting at me and trying to bomb my vehicle than by somebody's mom sitting at the side of a road in Crawford Texas.

No matter what their politics are, I just can't believe someone on either side of the political fence in a battle zone would be all that upset about this. If they are against the war, her actions will give them some hope. If they are rah rah for the war, I doubt they will be questioning themselves to the point of depression over her wanting to talk to Bush. If being there in the middle of Iraq hasn't given them pause, Cindy Sheehan sitting in a lawn chair won't either.

The whole premise of her destroying troop morale makes me wonder if Kristinn has ever been in a war zone himself. Who exactly are these troops that were full of joy until Cindy sent them into a pit of despair?
