Cindy made the LOCAL news in KEARNEY, NEBRASKA please thank them
I almost fell down, It was a positive news story, or at the very, very least not hostile in any way. Cindy was correctly portrayed as the mother of a fallen soldier seeking an audience with the shrub. It was mentioned that many people had shown up to support her and more were expected to be on the way. The newscast mentioned also that some were calling her the Rosa Parks of the Anti-Iraqi War movement. I particularly enjoyed that part.

I have thanked them for this story and I would SO VERY MUCH appreciate it if a few of you would as well. This story was reported on 8/10 at 10 p.m. on the NTV network (abc) by reporter Seth Denney.

When small local media in Red states like this do something good like this, when they do the right thing I feel we need to encourage it. This is where the hearts and minds are won and the tide turns.

Thank NTV (reporters name is Seth Denney) for running the story here comments@nebraska.tv

Thanks for your time. :-)

1. Rosa Parks of the anti-war movement
I like that.

They told Cindy to sit in the back and be quiet and she refused.

7. Yeah, me too! It was a comparison I hadn't heard before but makes
PERFECT sense in many ways. I just couldn't believe it was on the air here, on local TV.

thanks.

5. Message sent
My grandparents are buried at the National Cemetary near there, Ft McPherson. Kearney is a great town with great people and I'm thrilled that they gave a shout-out for Cindy's cause.

9. I think Kearney is one of only a handful of fairly progressive cities in N
and I was really proud of how they did this story. Thanks for the help.

13. Shameless kick, I know it's not a big market but
I really think we should encourage this where we can in Red States.

I'd like to avoid an Iranian war and end this one.
