What's your genotype and why does the PNAC care?

Anyone who has trouble wrapping their mind around the possibility that Bush & Co. were in on the events of 9-11 probably won't be able to fathom the above statement, either. But the document's authors also wrote this:

"Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event--like a new Pearl Harbor."

Rebuilding America's Defenses was published in September, 2000. Think about what happened exactly one year later.

I know this is old ground for DU but I was talking about it with a friend, today, and it still has the power to make a cold chill run down my spine.

18. No one is "pure" anything. Race is a continuum, not a set of boxes.

Obviously, people's skin color varies in discrete ways. But what we oversimplistically term "race" involves hundreds of characteristics. Each of us--unless we are an identical twin--is a unique mix of characteristics. We may have many characteristics in common with others of our "race," but race is just a way of lumping together people who share many characteristics. To expect "purity," as if everyone is either this race or that race, is foolish.

The PNAC asks, in their statement of principles, "Does the United States have the resolve to shape a new century favorable to American principles and interests?" The devil, however, is always in the details. What are our principles? As a nation, can we agree on what they are? And what are our interests? Do they include controlling the world's food and energy supplies? Is there an alternative to the PNAC's premise that we must dominate the world and its resources?

Thanks for suggesting it. From the title, it sounds like it's about the exploitative policies that we're seeing implemented by Bushco. Their war is against the weak, which is, basically, everyone but them. Just because we don't live in the Middle East does not mean we're guaranteed respite from their depredations.
