Rush. This dosen`t come close to what Clinton did.
Old Limpballs listed all the things Clinton and his wife did from Whitewater to travelgate to the money from China. The alledged leak doesen`t come close to any of what they did.

25. True - here are some questions to be asked of Rush
From the ABCnote:

"Has President Bush made clear to the White House staff that only total cooperation with the investigation will be tolerated? If not, why not?

Has he insisted that every senior staff member sign a statement with legal authority that they are not the leaker and that they will identify to the White House legal counsel who is?

Has Bush required that all sign a letter relinquishing journalists from protecting those two sources? Has Bush said that those involved in this crime will be immediately fired? If not, why not?

Has Albert Gonzalez distributed a letter to White House employees telling them to preserve documents, logs, records? If not, why not?

Has Andy Card named someone on his staff to organize compliance? If not, why not?

White House officials who might have legal or political exposure on this are going to have to decide whether to hire lawyers or not, and the White House counsel's office is going to have to decide what legal help they can and should provide to officials if and when the DOJ wants to talk to them.

That means that the '90s practice of every Washington bureau of calling members of the bar to see who has hired whom is about to heat back up. The first one to report someone hiring a criminal lawyer wins a prize, as does the first person who develops that lawyer as a source on all this.

A reminder that students of recusal politics will have to consider the Rove-Ashcroft history"

5. LOL!
Bush could kill 10 people with his own hands, and Rush would still say it wasn't as bad as Clinton's BJ.

9. Travelgate, indeed
I can't tell you how I know this, fertilizeonarbusto, but I was privy to some of the inside info re: the Clintons and the WH travel office. The firings weren't the scandal -- the actions of certain officials within the travel office were. From what I could tell, the Clintons were justified in their suspicions. No, I can't say for sure that there was actual wrongdoing taking place in the travel office, but man, the impression of impropriety was certainly there. Big time.

Of course, the CIA/Plame story isn't nearly as important as Travelgate, though.

3. Yeah, and $60 million later, they hadn't found any
evidence, so they had to switch to plan B - impeachment for being naughty.

We, however, have Mr. Novak on videotape! Hehe.

4. I agree
Bush* is a treasonous tyrant whose office outted a CIA agent and endangered the lives of his contacts, and who lied to start a war killing thousands of people and destroying the U.S. economy, while Clinton lost $30,000 in an Arkansas land deal and fooled around on his wife.

How can you even compare the two?

15. er Rush... compromising CIA operations on the flow of WMDs
is an issue of national security. Remember how many times before the war with iraq- YOU raised the issue of how dangerous Iraq would be with nukes and other WMDs because they might give it to terrorists?

What someone in the WH did - and the WH (with their war on terror) has been unconcerned about - has compromised the US efforts to prevent terrorists from getting WMDs.

Travelgate? Big theat to national security.

21. In the off chance that rush reads this thread
My thoughts ...

It is now obvious that rush doesn't believe what he says.

Endangering American National Security is bigger than
lying about a blow job under oath, Period end of sentence .

The entire WMD team the CIA had, was Jepardized for
political purposes . All the contacts ..This is HUGE.

Treason is Treason

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
let's see
rush supports bush over the Constitution, and American
National Security how completely stupid of rush .

My State's lame-duck Reugnicrat Senator (Peter Fitzgerald, R-IL) says, quote:

"I believe an independent counsel is needed; allegations of such a serious nature cannot be ignored."

My head just exploded! :P

PS-- Fitzgerald doesn't have to get re-elected, and he has more money than God (so the BFEE can't buy him off), so maybe he's just decided to speak his mind, do you think?

This sort of comment will be very useful as this thing unfolds. For a fellow committed to the other side, he really id not a bad sort. Of course, a yeller dawg would get my vote in a race against him....
