The health inspectors are poking around in every tent, backed up by the sheriff and a deputy. They are surrounded by clicking cameras.

9. Why not? I understand a health inspector does not need one
but you throw in a sherriff and you have a whole new animal, no?

3. What does it mean?
Health inspectors checkin' out makeshift tents? Aren't those guys supposed to go into licensed restaurants and check for bugs?

This makes no sense. Is it real?

4. Health departments can (and DO) make surprise visits
and there are enough loopholes,in their inspections, that they can always find a violation.

Usually they have to give you an opportunity to fix it though..

10. But they only inspect

food service establishments. There is no kitchen there, much less a restaurant. I just checked the Texas Food Establishment Rules and the campsite does not meet any of their criteria for a "Food Service Establishment"

13. If food is being served they CAN check it out
If it's not a true family picnic, and non-related people are sharing food, there could be a liability issue..so they can check it out.

our soccer snack bar was inspected at least once and all they had was storebought donuts & coffee

18. No, health depts do other things, too.
My dad reported his neighbor to the health dept for channeling sewage into a nearby spring.

15. I'm referring to the SHERIFF accompaniment
That should require a warrant, to search private property, shouldn't it? I understand the health inspectors don't need one but your tent/car is still your property right?

Where the hell did the constitution go?

19. If your car or tent
is on a public roadway, your rights are somewhat limited as opposed to being on private property.

20. I don't mean to pick but
That's pretty vague isn't it? Don't they still need PROBABLE CAUSE in Texas? Or did Bush launch a preemptive strike against that constitutional right before he left?

6. Probably not . . .
. . . in the interest of homeland security with the POTUS in the immediate vicinity. They're likely making sure that a nut job didn't sneak into the camp with a different plan of intent.

12. Yeah
and you know what, I wonder if those so called health inspectors are homeland security agents. Taking pics and sending them back to the Chimp.

Something is very fishy here. Health inspectors don't show up at campgrounds, let alone makeshift protest areas.

14. Oh, and I wonder
if they are taking pics in order to prove a case against them "after" they get arrested tonight (not substiated yet, just rumor, but still could happen).

7. Careful. Watch out for the marijuana plant!
And by that I mean be careful these "health inspectors" don't plant marijuana, resulting in the arrest and detainment of all those who the pResident wishes would just disappear.

The Bushistas have done worse things...infinitely worse things.
