I am destroyed. Cindy and the other families of the fallen just had their press conference. By the end, all were weeping. All denounced the war, Bush, and demanded the troops be brought home. It ended with these families just holding each other, surrounded by flowers and cameras, to the side of the Arlington West cemetery that has been erected here.

We will get our footage of this up as soon as we can.

I walked in the grass and my feet got attacked by fire ants. I am hating Texas right now.


He may need medical attention, especially since many people end up having allergic reactions to fire ants.

ones first experience with fire ants...really is horrid...put just regular rubbing alcohol on them..pour it on...in a day or two, blisters will form...break them and pour on more alcohol...it takes a week for them to heal up....now the most important thing...never stand in one place too long...if you are in fire ant territory...they will get you...they get all over your feet and legs in just seconds...and they all sting at once..so u dont feel them until it is too late...and then you have multiple attacks...the key is...and this is important...watch for them, but even if you do not see them...never stand in one place for too long...they will get you.

is a solution of 1 part bleach to 8 parts water; I make the solution I use stronger, but the 1:8 was recommended in the article I read suggesting it be used on fireant bites. It stops the stinging, and if I use it right away, I never get the blisters that normally form.

18. Fire ants are nasty

When I was a kid I was outside, barefoot. My mom was talking to the neighbor, and I was standing there. The neighbor looked down and freaked. I looked down, and my feet were completely covered in fire ants. I swear, do they numb you or something? As soon as I saw it, I felt it. Grabbed a water hose and got them off, but I was miserable for days.

Hang in there, Will! Somebody send some cortizone cream out there for that itch!

7. I can't imagine

that there could be a dry eye within miles of this site. I'm crying just visualizing the scene in my mind. All these people holding each other up after suffering the worst loss possible. Does anyone know where the press conference will be aired? I'll have to brace myself to watch it, that's for sure.

As for Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Michelle Malkin, Matt Drudge, etc...nothing you can say can hurt me or make me stop what we are doing. We are working for peace with justice. We are using peaceful means and the truth to do it. I guess the truth frightens people. It frightens them so much, they have to resort to telling lies to rebut my arguments. They are despicable human beings and not even worth our concern. Bill O'Reilly had the nerve to invite me on his show again today. But, Dolores Kesterson, another Gold Star Families for Peace member who also had a terrible experience with meeting George and she kicked his butt
