3. I had written to Eyes Wide Open, yesterday... they responded quickly.

I asked if they would consider having an emergency exhibit in Crawford.... the response:

Thanks so much for your suggestion. Cindy has been a good friend to AFSC and Eyes Wide Open and has supported us in many ways. We did seriously consider bringing the boots down there, but as you guessed the financial and logistical challenge of doing so outweighed the positive aspects. Instead we have focused our resources on trying to get our contacts in the area to travel to the site and support Cindy. We will all be watching the news today and hoping that all goes well.
