107.3 CANCELS the Anti-Sheehan BBQ.
So I read where a radio station local to Waco/Crawford was going to have a PRO-Troop rally, as a reaction to Cindy Sheehan's protest in Crawford.

107.3 sent an email saying it was canceled because there wasn't enough local support.

So let me get this straight.

There isn't enough LOCAL PRO-troop support in that area close to Fort Hood?

WOW! Either the 107.3 management is making up a lame excuse, or else the support for the war REALLY is fading.

1. I REALLY think it is
I mentioned elsewhere how the magnetic ribbons an other pro-war propaganda have disappeared from my neck of the woods right next to an air force base

2. Ha! Maybe there are enough people in the Crawford area
who, even if they personally disagree with Cindy's protest, realize that having a barbecue for the purpose of dissing a grieving mother who lost her son would be in horrible taste and would make them look as cold and cowardly as Bush himself?

3. I guess I am cynical
The people in control of the country nixed the idea, realizing that it would bring even more attention where it isn't wanted or needed (by them).

5. I don't think Bush has much support in Crawford.
During the 04 election, the local Crawford paper came out in support of Kerry.
