An advertisement that a leading abortion-rights organization began running on national television on Wednesday, opposing the Supreme Court nomination of John G. Roberts Jr. as one "whose ideology leads him to excuse violence against other Americans," quickly became the first flashpoint in the three-week-old confirmation process. http://www.nytimes.com/2005/08/11/politics/11abort.final.html?hp&ex=1123819200&en=5d2c2f94824bf138&ei=5094&partner=homepage

That's some of what we're planning for tonight's show.

Finally,
Some people bring flowers, others bring balloons. When Melvyn Reed's three wives showed up to visit him at the hospital, they brought an unexpected curtain call to his years as a double bigamist. British police confirmed that after Melvyn Reed woke from his triple bypass heart operation earlier this year, his complicated marital affairs took a turn for a worse. All three of his spouses had turned up at the same time, despite his efforts to stagger their visits. http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/D/DOUBLE_BIGAMIST?SITE=NWCN&TEMPLATE=STRANGEHEADS.html&SECTION=HOME

1. It had better be good
I've been mightily disappointed in his show of late. Last nite was all about trifling things--just like ALL the other supposed news shows in the vast wasteland. I am beginning to wonder who may have gotten to him.:banghead:

2. Apparently, his boss yelled at him They're cracking down on him.
:( It's not a good thing. Olberman is the ONLY good thing about MSNBC. Well, there's Ron Reagan and sometimes Rachel Maddow but you have to watch that awful woman co-host to see them. :(
