Gas is around $2.49 a gallon in the DC area. One of my kids is commuting to summer classes at U. of Maryland and working part-time as a nanny. After paying for gas, she's got nothing left.

And the oil companies keep reporting record profits.

It's obscene.

We ordered a fill up of our heating oil tanks to be delivered today.
Got it @ $2.15 a gallon. (In South Jersey) Office worker claimed it would be going to $2.25 ten minutes later when the boss walked in the door. Also said we were the 4th family to call already by 8:00 this morning.

We have a pssive solar home with a woostove, too. Only use the oil heat as a back up if there is a string of cloudy/snowy days. Still hurts.

There will be alot of cold Americans this Winter.

I (my client) paid a primium of $7,382, and we sold it for $14,789.98 net!!! He's now going into Natural Gas.
