Cindy must embrace MoveOn and Michael Moore
The notion that it is a smears to equate Cindy with these MoveOn and Michael Moore must be challenged and corrected. We can't let the right-wing be succesful in marginalizing two of the most effective message machines available to the left.

1. She doesn't have to do anything.
She didn't ask for them to get involved, she has enough on her plate to deal with without having to shoulder the entire activist left or be condemned if she doesn't.

defend themselves. The GOOP think they have a winner disparaging Michael Moore. They are liar smear monsters, and they will eventually pay for what they have done.

4. I believe she already did that by stating there is nothing wrong
with being associated with other's that are anti war...all these naysayers I am reading today are driving me nutty, this women, on a whim and without hours of organization is responsible for the first time in five years, the loudest voice of dissent against this administration has ever had to encounter so publicaly...

Those that seem to want to have some imput on her actions should instead concentrate on aiding her voice by adding their's to hers, its very plainly the biggest broadcast those opposed to this regimes war has ever had to encounter..

9. Yes this is what i mean, what you said.
You can't just distance yourself from them because by doing that the RW wins....you have to turn it around and make it a positive thing that they are giving you assistance.

6. No no no
and FUCK no.

If that happens, you know goddamn well that the RW will play the political card much more than they already have.

Look, I really have alot respect for these organizations but this is counterproductive. If they want to help Cindy, stay behind the scenes.

10. To O'Reily once MM posts a story about you?
You are under HIS CONTROL.

Bullshit. There is nothing wrong with MM or MoveOn and the way you state your involvment or non-involvment must reinforces that point of view.

12. She must do nothing other than what she is doing
Which is to put a personal face on the pain that millions of people in this country are going through. That is all we can ask of any one person.

13. And another thing, what was she supposed to do?
I mean, should Cindy have gone to the Heritage Foundation for help? Or Richard Mental Scaife or Rev. Moon? Maybe she should have looked to Freeperville.com and Newsmax for assistance? Or perhaps she should've called Bill O'Reilly on the phone at the start to get him on board (of course, he would've probably responded with "so, what are you wearin', baby?")?

14. I hope Cindy does only what she wants to do
Really, this is her mission. The fact that we're all benefiting from it doesn't mean that she's obligated to do anything. She only needs to follow her heart.

15. I was pretty concerned ...
when I first saw the repeated use of this attempt at invalidation. But I have to say, I think this RW talking point is falling flat on its face. They are trying much hard too equate anyone who disagrees with Bush's policies with the "extremist" (:boring:) elements of the left wing party and it shows.

BTW, if you haven't seen this already, check out this clip of O'Lielly and Delores Kesterson, another mother who lost her son. He tries the technique it on her and loses big time.
