6. I have 3 sons. 23, 19 and 14. I am scared!
I fear a draft that would take my oldest two into this meatgrinder.
Cindy is my hero right about now. I hope that her actions will change the minds of those who have jumped on the war bandwagon and possibly change policy.

18. I don't blame you and I will do the same if it comes to that.
My oldest already did 8 years in the Army. I think that is enough. And I won't allow my youngest to be murdered for bush** oil wars.

19. I am still floored now and then 6 months after losing my mom. And I am a
33 yo woman. Can NOT fathom the loss of a child. I miscarried two babies at 8 weeks, and that hurt bad enough. How much more it must hurt to lose the ones you held and nurtured....

Parents should never have to bury their children.

24. Like she wouldn't think of his death every single day, anyway.
Time heals all wounds, however, this is a very present reminder she is going through, no breaks from it. It would be hard enough to lose a child in any manner, but she is trying to stop the madness and the murder of not only American troops but innocent Iraqis also. And the one person responsible for it doesn't give a shit and she has to deal with that as well. I am very angry and very sad for her!

33. I think the "time heals all wounds" is a little misleading.
Some things are too painful to ever really heal. The loss may fade somewhat, but somewhere in the back of your mind that empty space is always there.

36. Exactly. And she is forced everyday to deal with the death of her
son, as if she wouldn't anyway. I would never be able to get over losing a child, but she can't get away from it, at all. She is confronted with her loss every single day! It is so sad that she has to go through this.

25. Well you we're right about that
What a poignant face of grief. When I wrote her, I told her that my daughter was a soldier, and I couldn't even fathom what she must feel. In the middle of all this, she is missing her baby so very, very much. Oh, god, there I go. Bawling like a baby now.
