The DSM is what they want to avoid. The investigation into their use of intel is what they want to avoid.

They like acting "resolute" about staying in Iraq for noble reasons, and enjoy giving those answers as if Cindy is just a poor misguided lefty, when she is obviously so much more than they bargained for.

How would they answer if the focus was that Cindy wants to talk about the DSM and how Bush LIED her son to his death and LIED the whole country into war?

This is merely an OFFERED opinion into what could provide Bush the greatest discomfort.

12. it's worse than that, PNAC is a front for the AEI
And the AEI employs Michael Ledeen, an openly fascist "advisor" to Karl Rove and others.

3. Cindy should focus on whatever her heart desires to focus on.
We have no right to set her agenda.

None.

Nada.

Zip.

Hey....Cindy's probably getting tired and may welcome the perspective from those of us earnest in our support.

Couldn't hurt. ;))))))))

4. I think that will definatly figure in.
See, once the MSM got ahold (I KNOW it's not a word) of the story now she can start bringing the other related issues into play. It will snowball. Things are going to fall into place this way. Some ppl on here were wondering about why all the Cindy frenzy. THIS is why. It benifits all comers in the ever-expanding ripple effect.

7. The NeoCons want to avoid publicly talking about how badly....
...Herr Busch has treated the families of those that have died in the Middle East.

But most of all, they want to avoid talking about how they died based on a PACK OF BALD-FACED LIES.

8. Has William Pitt forwarded the new Pre-9/11 info to her?
She should ask Bush about the reports that the Pentagon knew...

And there is the risk that they'll frame Cindy as hysterical. One report had "bereaved" in its title; gotta be careful and have a reasonable response to any "concern" from Bush.

Frame, re-frame.

Edited on Thu Aug-11-05 06:53 PM by emulatorloo
Senate Intelligence chairman quietly 'fixed' intelligence, and diverted blame from White House over Iraq

<snip>

Larisa Alexandrovna

Shortly after the 9/11 attacks, President George W. Bush issued an order to the Central Intelligence Agency, Department of Defense, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the State Department, and his cabinet members that severely curtailed intelligence oversight by restricting classified information to just eight members of Congress.

"The only Members of Congress whom you or your expressly designated officers may brief regarding classified or sensitive law enforcement information," he writes, "are the Speaker of the House, the House Minority Leader, the Senate Majority and Minority Leaders, and the Chairs and Ranking Members of the Intelligence Committees in the House and Senate."

The order is aimed at protecting "military security" and "sensitive law enforcement."

But what was said to be an effort to protect the United States became a tool by which the Republican chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee Pat Roberts (R-KS) ensured there was no serious investigation into how the administration fixed the intelligence that took the United States to war in Iraq or the fabricated documents used as evidence to do so.

Coupled with limited access to intelligence documents, RAW STORY has found that Roberts and a handful of other strategically-placed Washington players stymied all questions into pre-war intelligence on Iraq and post-invasion cover-ups, including the outing of a CIA covert agent, by using targeted leaks and artfully deflecting blame from the White House.

10. Yes! It's the MAJOR point...
... and the very point that the right-wing propaganda machine is desperately trying to obscure. Obviously, any parent who has lost a child in war will be bereaved. But in this case, we have a mother who lost a son in an illegal and unnecessary war that was promoted by a pack of lies. THAT'S what Cindy is holding * accountable for, and THAT'S exactly why she scares * and *bots so much -- they know it's true! Even though this story is getting a lot of coverage in the corporate media, almost all of the reports steer well clear of this central issue.
