My uber loyalist Mother in Law came to visit

First off my inlaws are career military for several generations. The grandfather fought for General Black Jack Pershing.

Anyhoo, they watch FOX news and live in Republican Michigan, near Amway.

Now, this is a woman who my wife confronted a year ago (my wife has anger management problems). Wife was literally out in the street screaming at her mom, "How can you support murdering innocent children!?!?!". Well the mother in law's answer was "there were no innocent children killed, they were all suicide bombers" (which she later denied saying).

Anyhoo, I spent a day with her and she stated that they just can't turn on the TV anymore. She say's all there are are these hour shows and no news broadcast anymore. And its all about Natalee Halloway. She just couldn't understand why that was all that is on TV.

What's a loyalist to do???

This whole Natalee metanarrative. What I can't figure out is whether people really watch because they care about her and hope she'll be found, or in some morbid way hope she won't, so that the mystery can just go on forever.

4. Time to fill her in on the fact that all the mainstream media has been

taken over by corporations, that it's in the corporations' selfish, unpatriotic interest to spin the news or to divert the focus of the news to keep the People in the dark in regard to corporate-friendly politicians' dirty business. When the news consists of mostly entertainment or sensationalism, it's most likely because the People are getting screwed.

Using that gauge, when the president, such as Clinton, is put under the media's microscope 24/7 every day of his two terms, it speaks volumes about that president not bending to the desires of the media's powerful owners.

my mom is a dear heart but she just cannot fathom the evil that goes on from these people so we dont talk of it though ive gotten in a couple good verbal descriptions

she comes from a different era a different mindset so her heart would break into a million pieces if she really let the bad stuff in
so she hides her head because in her background the government is more noble and would never do the sort of things that are going on

9. My friend at work (an ostrich) mentioned Nick Berg today

I can't remember why, but he was looking for something and he said he found no less than three sites with Nick Berg on them. He just about SHIT A BRICK when I told him about the would be 911 hijacker having Nick's email password...

He couldn't believe it and had to look it up. Refused to believe anything on the blogs (he is smart) until I found the same info on CNN's website.

He now knows there was more to the story than we knew. He even read all the pertaining conspiracy theories on Wiki.

its nonstop blasting of lights and graphics and the most inane outrageous sensational words they can string together
