I strongly believe another terrorist strike here will sink the junta's ratings in the only category that's still favorable.

The "nuclear option" (whatever that will be; dirty nuke in NYC?) is certainly the last resort. It would only be used if large scale indictments are inevitable. It would be used as a pretext to martial law.

Other possibilities:
1) sting operation that nabs AQ terraists in US?
2) insurgents set off a nuke in Iraq??
3) govt-subsidized gasoline at $2/gal???

and they were blathering on with some old fart about the possibilities of tanker trucks of gasoline or LNG as weapons.
