Not only was I able to predict Bush would take us to war with Iraq in November of 2000 (in writing), but last year I "predicted" for family and friends REPEATEDLY that gasoline would be at $3.50 per gallon by the end of Summer, 2005. I explained each time that "deals" had been cut to keep gas prices down BEFORE the election, and it didn't matter who got into office, the deal was they could start raising prices this year (and holding prices artificially "low" last year meant some "tax write-offs").

If Kerry had won (well...you know what I mean) and gas prices were going up as they are now, the arguement would be that prices stayed low until now because of Bush's work before he left office. Kerry's policies would be blamed for bringing them up at this point in his term.
