The 'co-workers can often suck' thread
a co-worker of mine just called me intolerant and closed-minded because I laughed at him when he tried to hand me a Rush Limbaugh article. THIS from a self-proclaimed "borderline white supremacist".

Of ALL THE NERVE.

He explained how it covered how 9/11 was Clinton's fault. :eyes:

I already KNOW what all these idiots are saying. I don't NEED to read any articles by people like Rush Limbaugh to know what the outcome will be.

Later, an email CC'd to me (authored by my boss) said 'this article is full of attacks and it's ridiculous. Just another example of how the 'Right' can't argue anything ligitimate so they have to resort to personal attacks'. This was about another 'writer' but he cited Rush as an example.

He also said this, which I love: "Agenda for the 21st century - GOVERN WITH FEAR!" :toast:

My boss and I pretty much agree on everything, but my boss doesn't like it when I get involved, either, because I get very irritated at the Bushbot's crap. My boss can laugh at it. I can't.

Except for today.

Bushbot was NOT pleased.

Share your stories with me, PLEASE???

1. Would like to share, but...
I work at an alt-weekly (y'know, those papers like The Village Voice and whatnot?). Everyone here is a flaming liberal, or at least slightly left of center.
We have one token conservative, and even he is covered in tattoos.
So, while I'm sympathetic, I got nuthin' to share.

2. The same logic for the evolution vs "intelligent design" argument.
Although one is fact based, and the other is stupid nonsense, teach both as equal and let the children decide. So since you won't read lies, you are closed minded.

6. 94% of the people in my room can't STAND Lancelot Link.
There's one dumbo jock in here from Repuke-laden Westlake who supports the Reichfuhrer-in-Cheat, but that's about it. He's not even really vocal about it. They all dig the toons I grab from DU, SwampRat and others that I hang in my cube.

9. Co-workers are sort of the work version of siblings.
I know a lot siblings who really have anything in common except they share some DNA yet they are force to put up with each other.

11. I get this crap from a couple bots daily...
imagine getting drivel like this in your inbox each morning...

***
"It will take another attack here for America to get sick of us Kumbya,
blame America first, Liberals"
***

...most of the time the lies and propaganda are laid down so thick it's a waste of time to point out all the fallacies.

On the other hand, it provides a good forum to test various methods of debate to see what works best to reach a zombie. Of course as you may guess, nothing really works... but the socratic method is great for a few laughs as it doesn't take too many questions to get to the absurdity of this bot's lack of reasoning...
