"Cindy" Sign-Waving [PICS]

Just got back from our Cindy sign-waiving and have some pictures to share. We got much, MUCH more positive feedback (honkers, thank yous, thumbs up), than negative (pottymouthed, snide, sneering and/or screaming Bushbots). I think they're scared, folks.

Anyhoo, I was holding a sign that said "1846 Dead For Lies!" and this 30ish guy slows down very close to me and screams, "I'M A GULF WAR VET AND YOU'RE THE LIE, YOU'RE THE FUCKING LIE!!!" I could only laugh at the guy in total and utter disbelief because, of all things, he was driving...... A HUMMER!!!

5. Local Radio WMNF

aired a live interview with one of our protesters and one guy showed up because he heard it. (They are our local progressive station that airs Democracy Now.)

7. Gulf War vet isn't there now, though. Can't see the mess that

is going on now. This is NOT the same as the first time around. (Editing to say obviously I am assuming he is not a recent vet but from before.)

16. Gulf war 1 was a fricking CAKEWALK; the situations are not similar.

We had alot more troops, we had broad international support...
We actually killed more of our own troops ACCIDENTALLY than the Iraqi Army managed on purpose!

But, most importantly, we had military commanders
who were smart enough to NOT depose Saddam.

WHY?
Gee, maybe because
EVERY possible scenario they "simulated" all gave the same result:

...me, too. Cindy has opened a window for us all and we need to use it often and well, because we don't know how long it will last. Finally, and right now, at this very moment in time, we can be heard. But like Cindy says: "We're preaching to the choir and the whole choir's not singing with us." Once all of us decide to get up out of our lazyboys and sing, well then, folks, we got something. I really, truly believe this one thing because of Cindy Sheehan: OUR TIME IS NOW.

Some people do not realize how fun it can be to stand up for the truth and REAL freedom not that brand the freeps talk about.

I hope more people begin to realize this can be a really fun and satisfying way to spend an afternoon!

I do it solo on occassion. I just pick a heavily trraveled interesction and go out with some signs. If there are poles nearby, a little tape makes them into sign waving protesters to. I can hold a corner for hours with a few signs and some good strong tape!

My van's a pretty good protester, too. Tonight while I was waiting for everyone to arrive, I just parked in a prominent spot and taped my signs to all the windows!!! I think she can hold about 8-10 at a time!!

i got second reporter come today for pictures of my house signs and he did an interview with me about Cindy for the Atlantic City newspaper..we are getting the word out there..lets keep it up..lets keep it local for those of us who can't get to crawford..
and lets get the word out in our home towns!!
