NEW YORK In Friday's edition of Newsday, reporter James Madore speaks with Lucy Dalglish, director of the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, about her recent visit with jailed New York Times reporter Judith Miller.

"I know what's bothering her more than anything is she cannot read the Internet," Dalglish told the paper. "People are telling her about some allegations about her that are in the blogosphere and she has no way to fight back."

Dalglish, who visited Miller recently at the Alexandria (Va.) Detention Center, also told Madore, "It's tough, but she is fine. She's hanging in there."

What the hell does that mean? I'm quite sure people can tell Miller what these allegations are and that Bill Keller would happily print anything Miller wanted to dictate to him on the front page of the New York Fucking Times. If Miller wants to set the record straight about anything she can do so by testifying to the grand jury and by printing it in the "paper of record."

I hate when people who have access to the most influential platforms in the world whine about being "attacked," and she's compounding this by claiming she has no way to "fight back."

Yeah, here are some people who are actually unable to "fight back" because you were "proved fucking right" Judy.

All information I have read and heard suggests that if not a collaborator, she is at least a witness to a crime and impeding the indictment and conviction of a criminal or criminals working out of the White House. As far I know, she hasn't been muzzled or restricted in her right to free speech by the judge who is ordering her to testify, so why doesn't she just set the record straight and set all the rumors to rest if she is not a collaborator or witness to a crime.
