I'm trying to look forward. I think we've got the country around to the idea that starting the war for the reasons given was fubar. Bush's defense seems to be "well, that doesn't matter any more, this is where the war on terra is". My small statement of the month, probably of the year, is that we're not actually doing anything in Iraq right now, and probably haven't done anything substantial since about May of 2003. That's what people still don't get. If they get it, and if they get that the plan is more of the same, they'll demand a change in the course, even if the only alternative is to withdraw completely. With that in mind, here's what I have...
