So I was talking to a freeper I know and we got on the subject of Iran somehow. I let him know my thoughts on the subject, that Iran has never done us any harm and we have no reason to invade. He disagreed and said Iran should be nuked he also had the following to offer...

- "America should nuke the whole middle east and take any oil there."

- "After we're done with the middle east, we should invade every other continent and take their oil and resources too. We are Americans and we're the richest country on Earth, so we're entitled to the world's resources."

After hearing this come out of his mouth I reminded him that the last world leader who had this frame of mind ended up committing suicide in a bunker with invading armies shelling the capital city of his once "invincible" empire.

To that he replied..."Hitler didn't have nukes & we do, so we can't be beaten."

are of precisely this sort. Because we tend to isolate ourselves from those we detest or those who seem to represent danger to us and we tend to forget about them. The prisons are full of them. Most of those who are in prison are not stupid, they've made a dumb mistake and gotten caught from inexperience or being so vicious their indiscretions were too glaring to cover or get away from. They have their own needs to dominate and politics, with it's admixture of extremely high stakes money, is the best game in town. There is a certain pecking order and regimentation that appeals to them, and it is quite normal for a whiny, chickenshit scion of the uber-rich to ascend to the top position without ever having to demonstrate any sort of leadership, character, management ability ar even good sense. As long as he has papa capo's enforcers surrounding and propping him up, the criminal enterprise rolls on-not much he could do to mess it up.

When you, or anyone else, refers to the new conservatives as evil, wicked bastards and crooks, they and you are not resorting to poetic hyperbole. It is literally, observably true and one should anticipate the very worst from such palpably evil people.

I doubt he even knows that Hitler was spending a lot of time and resources working on an A-bomb and that his lack of heavy water (Allies disrupted the supply line) was the reason he never could complete the bomb.
