Republicans CANNOT BE TRUSTED with National Security
geez, how many times now have they put America in harms way by their political gameplaying???

The ones I remember offhand are Kissinger's Paris deal to prolong the Vietnam War so that he could be a powerbroker.

Then Bush Sr.'s October surprise, delaying the release of the hostages in Iran in order to win an election...

followed by arming Iran because of the deals he made for that election.

then they armed the mujahadeen, and thus gave bin Laden and the Taliban a base with which to attack us.

Now they're OUTING AN AMERICAN who was working on the defense of this nation???

This is outrageous.

They cannot be trusted. Their greed extends across the policy board, and it has dangerous consequences for America's security.

1. Correct
and now we have to scream it from the rooftops!

Americans now have the facts, Repukes are not for national
security and they have made that myth about Demos... we have this
on a silver platter... we need to use it.

4. Yes, Iraqgate was Bush Sr. too
He thought he could play Iran and Iraq off each other and armed them both...while favoring Saddam.

All of these actions are also criminal, of course.

And we have the same crew of dirty crooks from Nixon, through Reagan, and Bush Sr. in the form of Poindexter, Cheney, Wolfie, and of course, Dirty Trickster Rove dickster.

6. Indeed.
If this was the Clinton or Gore Administration the Republican screeching would approach hysterical proportions. We would hear all about how Democrats were not serious about national security and that it was time to put the "adults" back in charge of national security once again.

8. which is EXACTLY why we can and should now
point out the reality of republican "national security" strategy to anyone who is still under the illusion that they are good for this country.

7. Your message needs to be broadcast from every podium in the nation
It is spot on and everyone needs to hear it. The Republicans can not be trusted with anything including National Security. They are the most despicable of any citizen on earth.

9. There's also the matter of
essentially giving up on the hunt for OBL and taking resources from Afghanistan to invade Iraq, which in turn is adding fuel to the terrorists fire. And Whistle Ass doesn't CARE, he doesn't want to be bothered with DETAILS. We are up shit creek, I tell ya.

Sometime this afternoon, I think on Crossfire, the question was asked whether Gen. Clark was qualified to be president--well, ANYONE is more qualified to be president than this dullard we have now.

(Forgive my rant--I feel a teeny bit better now, but not much)

10. also, Rummy stage this war in such a way
that he put troops in greater danger than necessary, he allowed nuclear waste sites to be looted by this policy,...

along with, of course, the Bush administration failure to bring other western democracies in...of course, they didn't want that because they want to piss off the UN and leave our soldiers hanging.

And Bush's recent speech at the Un pretty much signed the death warrant for more American soldiers.

This crew is a danger to this nation, and I have known that since they took office.

I hope the rest of America is wising up, and FAST.

81% of respondents on a CNN, with about 50k responding, wanted an independent investigation last time I checked.

it's time for Americans to take off their blinders and see who is running this country into dangerous ground.

13. It is overwhelming
there is probably lots more we don't even know about. And this does not even take into account the economy and the national debt--our security depends a lot on our economic condition as well--wasn't it actually economic collapse that brought down the USSR?

Oh, how I wish we had President Gore in charge--I'd feel ever so much safer!

14. bin Laden said he would destroy America economically
and Bush has certainly helped him in every way he can by his tax cuts for the richest of the rich, rather than a payroll tax cut to benefit those who will spend the money to spur the economy because they need to replace appliances or cars..or just because they need enough money to survive.

Bush's economy = worse job creation rate since Hoover. only other time of such unemployment was the great depression.

and still he refuses to acknowledge his economic policies are not working...hmmm...just like the Iraq issues...

a pattern of incompetence, at best.

but NEVER in a time of war has a prez passed a regressive tax cut like Bush has done.

wheeee! Just saw on Lou Dobbs he was noting the Ken Lay has refused for over a year to turn over info on his Enron crimes.

hmmm...how long has the CIA been asking Ashcroft to investigate the Plame issue?

...a pattern of abuse of power, apparently these people think the law of this land does not apply to them in any way.

11. All the associated parties are "enemy combatants" as they helped
to disseminate WMDs by their blatantly traitorous actions.

Time to free up a few cells in Gitmo ...

12. Who gives a rat's ass?
I'm personally sick of the paranoid national security state America has become. I hope this makes the people realize that the national security complex they have is just exploited by politicians to get votes. It's a bunch of bullshit.

15. And to think many think
this is their best issue along with taxes and spending. Hopefully our nominee will make mincemeat of these falsehoods and drive a stake in them once and for all. The repukes are good for nothing but enriching their donors and thats ALL they're good for.
