Freepers "Supporting The Troops"
Edited on Sat Aug-13-05 03:19 AM by K8-EEE
Unbelievable.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1462543/posts

Used to be called shell shock.

Seems to me that with the pushbutton wars and volunteer warriors of today, there ought to be less of that, not more.

Flashbacks and nightmares? What man or woman comes back from war and doesn't have flashbacks or nightmares? Why are these people getting "compensation" for this? Is the money paying for therapy or counseling?

when my current ID is banned over there in Freekerville!

I really do NOT like those people. They're Kompassionate, like DUH-bya.

2. It is depressing. I go over and ask questions like:

Concerning the Freepers:

"Gee, where did you get your information concerning the "letter" from her "relatives". I get thrown off. Ask a question about a source, ask for clarification - you're history.

Freepers do not ask questions. To question a claim within their realm is treasonous, according to them.

That is a very dangerous maxim

3. well. . .
they don't question anything they hear in support of them, that is regarded as fact. Any truth that ekes its way through, like Iraq NOT having WMDs, is quickly shouted down by an assault of lies.

6. Theirs is not to question why, that's for sure.
It's extremely difficult for me to discuss stuff because as hard as I try, I can't get my head around some of the stupidity and racism they have going on.

Funny, I used the name I have here when I first registered in Freekerville, then said, "I can't wait to get kickedout", thinking I'd get a chance to say something really scathing as the door hit me in the butt.

Little did I know the paranoia they live with. My post here was quoted THERE, and the mod and another guy had a chuckle over it.

I was new to the rivalry at the time, and it was areal shock. I got my first glimpse into the mindset of paranoid governments and the like.

10. I've Never Even Tried...
It's lockstep or nothing for these idiots. They can't tolerate Der Bushmeister getting questioned on anything.

7. No, that's all it takes, a sticker and a keyboard.
Someone has to "defend" the troops while they're away...

8. Maybe the VA can pay for Ammo
when some of these obvious? fakers go out and shoot up someplace or take their own lives from stress.

As Ex-Mil, I can assure you that even in peace time the abject stress on a 20 year old kid knowing that a single screw up can doom not only him but an entire ship of people that he is charged with protecting can produce PTSD. There are some people that even the most scrupulous screening can not weed out. Its not a problem, it's just a fact. Understanding that fact and seeing warning signs as the stress occurs should not be held as a failure, but rather an opportunity to move that individual to either a less stressful position or removal from the situation.

Leadership positions within the military stress this ideal, and an understanding of the people that you may be responsible for. Once outside the serving military, the VA system, should also care for the obviously physically injured, but also the un-obviously injured.

Perhaps the next President can fund the VA system enough to care for the injuries caused, but be rest assured that if it does not happen, for the next 20 years we will all be hearing news accounts of Iraq war verterans and the damage that they can cause on out society as a whole. I don't want to even turn on Fox in 2015 and hear about homeless Iraq war veterans on the streets with now obvious and unresolved mental issues.

Jeeez they're wack!!

Another one of them says it's the "liberal feminization" of the military.

HEY FREEPERS -- GO SIGN UP! I think even the old Freeps can make a ton as contractors, no?

13. Their idea of femininization is anytime
they have to get up to replace the batteries in their own television remote.

One does wonder where they got the notion of using the word "free". . .they have never tolerated any such notion for anyone, including themselves.
