6. Will Leno cover it?
That's where my dad gets his news from. So that would be big.
(My mom will be watching though. I told her about this story yesterday and she was very excited! She loves a good political drama)

12. CBS showed clip of poppy saying leaking identities
were the most f*cked up kinds of sh*t anyone can do!

(paraphrased)
So bizarre to see the news with the gloves off like this!

I mean - fer cryin out loud they 're using poppy! Wow!

Also the CBS reporter noted that Novack only said nobody from the WH "called" him.
But that does not mean that nobody TOLD him.

Yummy!

16. How many White House convictions are needed. . .
at $15 to $50K each, in order to fund the $87 billion Iraq request? Just think, once we've gotten the neocons (this gives a whole new twist to "new con"-victs, doesn't it?) to fund Iraq reconstruction from their own pocketbooks, that 3-10 year sentence for each should keep the nation out of any new, ridiculous wars for awhile at least.

13. W00t! ABC lists the penalties for outing CIA operative
They listed the actual penalties and fines.
Something like 3-10 years, and a whole bunch of money.

This is important, since it makes the crime 'real' by mentioning the actual penalties.

Hearing the phrases 'bush administration' and 'Penalties include imprisonment from 3-10 years' in the SAME paragraph (maybe the same sentence...gotta check the transcript) sets up a association in people's minds. An association that will get stronger the more this is talked about.

Real Penalties possible == a Real Crime was committed.

15. Jennings said this has already caused harm to our national security.
Some Repukes have been arguing "no harm, no foul". Harm would put another nail in
someone's coffin.

I just started another thread on this news.

Let's hope that this really amounts to something and isn't burried with the other major scandals of this administration.

23. Well, let that optimism motivate you - MAKE SOME CALLS!
Check the Toll Free Capitol Hill Switchboard -

1 (800) 839 - 5276

1 (800) 648 - 3516

- they'll connect you to anybody's office you name. OR check out www.congress.org for the directory to anybody's local OR Washington office numbers. Calls are great. They keep a running talley. Faxes are good, too, and the www.congress.org directory also features fax numbers - but fax machines are too often busy.

You can call YOUR Congressperson and YOUR Senators, and then, maybe somebody else's. Like one of the rethugs.

I actually called Orrin Hatch's office today, saying I was a worried republican who was distressed that this may make bush look bad, and I feared if this wasn't fully investigated, the "damn dems" would ultimately do this too, and point at us if we condoned this and did nothing, and we'd look openly like hypocrites, and we'd have no one to blame but ourselves. I suggested it might be better to do a full investigation, and, yes, maybe shed a little blood. And hold some people accountable - so it's behind us by election day.

This was one time when I called some rethug's office and didn't nearly get hung up on. They listened carefully and respectfully. I kept my fingers crossed the entire time.

That said, it's IMPORTANT YOU CALL!!!

There's also the email for the CBS Evening News: evening@cbsnews.com but I don't know the ABC one. It's probably available via Take Back the Media.
