Question about survivors of KIA |
|
I heard Jeff Greenfield or someone on CNN say that we should expect to hear a lot more from survivors of those killed in Iraq who support the president and the war to be anti-Cindys. Have we? I haven't seen much about anyone like that so far. You know that they're being sought.

2. Sadly, a lot of parents probably DO feel that the war's a good thing |

To finally admit to themselves that it's a boondoggle for the rich to get richer, only means one thing.. Their son/daughter died for NOTHING..
Probably a lot of them have those thoughts, but to say them outloud, makes it real:(

There are people who lost loved ones in Vietnam who are still convinced "we could've won" and that their family members died for a good cause. The notion that it was all a lie and that the government lied to them threatens everything they want and have been taught to believe.

Can't recall her name.
It was sad to watch he consign more to die because she lost her son and can't bear the thought that it was all for a massive lie!

I understand how that mother feels. I think that to take Cindy Sheehan's position takes extraordinary moral courage. I have no idea if I'd have it and I hope I never have to find out.
