W's double-barrelled, super-sized catapult
Edited on Sat Aug-13-05 01:05 PM by omega minimo

In a world where the Image Is All and every slice of soundbite and glimmer of info snapping from source (Brainwash Central) to synapse (yours) :wtf: is up with this microphone overkill?

Wondering:

Are they afraid he won't be heard over the din of slithering lizards and dropping cactus spines?

Rovebots want to make it look like this is a Big Deal and Hard Work?

Short of providing an actual catapult, are they sending the visual meme "DOUBLESPEAK IS DOUBLE DOUBLE PLUSGOOD"?

Double soft mics for him to rest his eyes when his brain gets tired?

Rovespeak piped directly from undisclosed location through one mic and into the other?

2. Mike man job insurance.
You're talking redundant everything.

The other "backup" in the picture is Condi. No chances are being taken that there will be a mike failure. And if Bush starts to look and sound too helpless and foolish, there's Condi there to give an approving nod.

In the foto, Condi looks like a growth on his shoulder.

Visual validation. Pre-emptive re-redundancy--

Thanks, I feel better now. :hi:

:smoke: (anyone seen the failsafe, backup system on our bloody CONSTITUTION?)

edit for Freudian slip: "bloody" not "blood"-- as in NO BLOOD FOR OIL

5. Not very subtle, are they?
I'd ask "how stupid do they think we are" but Gulliver already pointed out the re-re-redundancy factor...
