A funny thing today in Crawford.
I forgot to mention it in my earlier post.

There was this guy in a Red Pick Up that drove back and forth, back and forth, continuously during the rally blasting Toby Keith music.

How funny!! My brother was with me. He is a former Bush supporter who eyes are opening. He was really offended at that guy. I took that as a good sign.

We saw the Red Truck guy on TV during the coverage of Cindy Sheehan. He hates us. Surprise, surprise.

Get it?

Aww, nevermind.

3. First they ignore us
then they laugh at us......then they fight us, then we WIN. I say let them be their own downfall. Every last one of them needs to be over in Iraq.

Im glad that your brother sees the light. You've done well!!

4. I suddenly had a terrible thought...
Most of the pickup drivin' "men" down thataway have guns and plenty of ammo. Please be careful. Cindy and all of you are the ones with courage and strength. Stay safe!

Blessings!

18. There comes a time my friend, in the course of human events when
personal safety becomes secondary. If you fear them, they win.

I've been shot at before, it doesn't disturb me anywhere near as much as watching my country die.

9. Was it the guy that was on the news tonight saying the people with
Cindy are trash? Tell him that statement shows he doesn't support the troops! I guess he supports the continued abuse of our troops by the criminals at the White House.

16. Guy in a pick-up, playing Toby Keith? Anybody shaking in their boots?
As Shania Twain might say, "That don't impress me much...". (Sorry, I just had to...)

By the way, to us Canucks watching from a distance, Cindy Sheehan is absolutely beautiful. Strikingly brave, wonderful woman of heart and mind, who, ironically, has * "shaking in his (phoney) boots". You go girl. Canada loves you, Mrs. Sheehan!!!

Disclaimer: The "Mrs. Sheehan" is my show of respect for this woman. She could be my next door neighbour, which makes her so special.

21. I have a song for everyone with Cindy in Crawford.
I hope it's okay to post lyrics here, this is the absolute most perfect for the week:

How many roads must a man walk down
Before they call him a man?
How many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
How many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they’re forever banned?

The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind
The answer is blowin’ in the wind.

How many years must a mountain exist
Before it is washed to the sea?
How many years can some people exist
Before they’re allowed to be free?
How many times can a man turn his head
And pretend that he just doesn’t see?

The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind
The answer is blowin’ in the wind.

How many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
How many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
How many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died?

The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind
The answer is blowin’ in the wind.
The answer is blowin’ in the wind.
-props to Peter, Paul, and Mary.

23. I wonder how Toby Keith feels about his music used to harass Ms. Sheehan.
TK is a Democrat, although he sings like a bushbot. However, at some point he had a heart-to-heart with Willie Nelson and kind of changed his tune. Maybe TK would not appreciate it that some ignorant jerk is attempting to harass a grieving mother by blasting Toby Keith's music at them.

I'd really like to know how TK feels. For some reason, I think he respects motherhood more than he does the a** of whoever happens to be in the Oval Office.

24. I saw him on tv tonight!
He said something like -- "Them people ain't frum 'round here none. In these parts we support the war, the troops, and the commander in chief."

The footage that I saw, apart from this freeper dude, looked very energetic and crowded, like a lot of good people had assembled. My respect for Mrs Sheehan increases with every anecdote I read. I wish I could go to Crawford -- it really is the place to be.
