Right-wingers Hate our Soldiers and disrepect our Flag

I've come to the conclusion that most people on the right really hate our soldiers, veterans and their families. It was the right-wingers who slandered McCain, Cleland and Kerry. Now they are bashing the family members of those that died in Iraq. When you think about it, the only soldiers they have specifically spoken out in support of, are Lyndie England and the Abu Ghraib crew. They showed their true colors yesterday when the soldiers, veterans and their family members were singing "God Bless America" and they tried to shout them down by yelling "We don't care!"

I've also noticed how disrespectful they are of the American flag. They wear it on their clothes in violation of the U.S. Flag Code. They use it in their advertisements which is also in violation of the flag code. They hold rallys which can only be described as Pro-Bush/Anti-Military during which they carry flags but let them drag on the ground.

It's really disgraceful.

Those idiots use the flag as a decoration, tying 20 or so to a bridge - they are breaking so many rules WRT displaying the flag it's not even worth it to get into here. They like to watch war on tv. It makes them feel proud to see America's military kicking some 3rd-world ass. It is the only source of pride in these miserable peoples' lives. They consider soldiers expendable because they need their source of pride. They believe what the corporate mouthpieces tell them because it is what they want to hear - "You are morally superior and all problems are somebody else's fault - the liberals". Typical fascist propaganda themes.

I am hoping that enough of them realize and admit their mistake before it is too late. But I think these cretins are going to let the robber barons take the whole country down the toilet.

8. They show their hate by their actions

Yep, clearly they must hate our soldiers simply based on what they do to them:
- Send them to die and get maimed in needless wars of their own agenda.
- Not even properly equip them for these wars.
- Make them use depleted uranium (DU) in the munitions, and when they get sick and start dying from DU, they say the soldiers are lying or just mentally ill -- how cruel to them!!
- Force anthrax vaccines on them even though they are proven NOT to work and have no practical military value, AND have severe life-long complications. (My guess is this is just a giveaway to Big Pharma.)
- Force them to serve multiple tours of duty rather than the usual one, to the point that suicide rates are very high among them.

Anyway, I actually got myself kicked off another board for daring to question the ways in which Bush makes use of our soldiers. Apparently when it comes to the military, you must never question anything! Suddenly, the gov't knows best and can do no wrong! They said the most vile hateful things to me for disagreeing with Bush, saying I'm not patriotic, a communist, I hate the troops, I'm a f-ing piece of shit, you name it. Then my account terminated.

I love our troops; they do not!

9. My new right wing neighbors

have a flag on their house that is out there day and night in wind and rain and whatever. There is no light on it at night as there is supposed to be. Right now it is pouring and the flag is still out there. It gets twisted around the pole in the wind and stays that way for days. They have a little "fence" that they put up around their yard with small flags in each post. Of course those flags are out there all the time. And the wife sits her ass on the flag every day outside when she sits in her camping style chair made to look like the flag and she eats off her flag tablecloth.

So you can sit your ass on the flag and wipe your mouth with the flag but you can't burn it?

11. One of my gop neighbors is a runner

He wears a running suit with a flag on it. He gets sweat and dirt and grime all over it. And while i will never legislate a taste issue I think that's desecration. Just like shop owners using the flag to hock candies and fire works and other goods on the fourth of july.

20. Nothing wrong with wearing red, white and blue...

but wearing the flag is a violation of the U.S. Flag code. I'll defend their right to do it, too, but that doesn't mean I don't find it disgraceful. I'm particularly offended by their use of the flag in advertisements and the fact that when they take flags to rallys they often let them drag on the ground.

Of course most of them worship a flag desecrater so what can you expect?

21. These people are not honoring the military in which I served.

These counter-protestors don't give a damn about the troops. They are pro-war, NOT pro-troops. Anybody that gives a damn about soldiers should be batshit furious that Bush sent them to war on trumped-up evidence, just like Vietnam.

Meanwhile, Bush abandoned the mission in Afghanistan and let the real enemy escape!

I'm an infantry combat vet and I think it is disgraceful how Bush has treated our military. 99% of the Army vets and soldiers I know hate Bush's guts.
