The pro-peace group now numbers about 30 at Camp Casey, as most are at the Peace House, planning tomorrow’s activities and discussing the events of today.
There remain about five individuals from the pro-Bush group at the camp area, who it appears may be here awhile. They have signs with photos of Casey Sheehan. The text on the sign says “Freedom isn’t free.”
There are high clouds in the sky; it is very humid and gray out here. Traffic is minimal. I'm heading now to the Peace House.

they are learning something crucial- while it makes my skin crawl, just to think of people holding images of Cindy's son, as a way of trying to hurt her, what they are doing is oddly, honoring him- and i wish i was there, so i could walk up to one of them, especially one who was a mother, and say, in a gentle controlled manner-

"Imagine if you can, what it must be like to have a stranger standing against you, someone who holds a cardbord sign with the image that represents how little remains of YOUR child?
A beloved son carried in your womb for 9 mos. a child you nurtured towards manhood for 24 years, who you encouraged to CARE about others, and to trust in the 'goodness' of humanity. And imagine that you learn that the reasons given for his sacrifice were not only false, they were intentional lies.-
When you live that reality, when it is more than 'thinking you understand' THEN come and preach to Cindy about freedom.
