4. Friday night about 50 arrived in a bus. They stayed long enough...

(~30 mins) to chant, "we don't care", get their pictures taken, and then left. MSRNC today ran a silent video of the event and crowed about how "both sides are now in Crawford".

10. You KNOW they're going to be mean and confrontational

you KNOW its organized by the same people that brought us shock and awe. Remember the spontaneous 2000 FL election recount protesters - banging on the door of where the vote was being counted, madly screaming "STOP THE RECOUNT!" - ? They appeared to be spontaneous citizens outraged at the recount, only later to be revealed as rove operatives. That's who's coming to Crawford. They have an agenda, and possibly a good plan. I expect nastiness and a few mom's of soldiers who are in some red, whit and blue denial.

The bait should not be taken.

Camp Casey should wait them out, as I'm sure they will. Maybe a pledge of alleigance or something. Any support the paid bushies draw will be short-lived. And it can at any moment become apparent to the general public that people who support bush hate the troops and their families.

The more controversy there is, there more media attention there will be.

The more media attention there is, the better Cindy looks and the worse the Bush supporters will appear. The behavior that they've exhibited so far has been idiotic and self-defeating.

And let us never forget that August is a slow news month.

There is NOTHING they can do as a counter protest to make themselves look more noble or patriotic than those at Camp Casey. Every move they make on camera will be scrutinized and ridiculed.
