ATTN. Camp Casey ppl: Help on this idea please:
1)As per several of my postings, has anyone gotten Cindy and EARPIECE for her phone? The LA times article said her shoulder and neck were sore from holding the phone so much. Simple inexpensive solution that I would be more than willing to donate. Someone please tell me where to get what she needs or get it and let me pay for it;whatever.
2)Could we not send a yellow rose to be laid at the foot of each white cross? Good symbolisim and it isn't fair for some of them to have flowers and others not. Anyone?

2. I sent money by Paypal to the Peace House earmarked
for Cindy. I think we could let them decide the best way to spend the money, as they are on-sight. I do think that you might contact them with your suggestions, tho. If they like the idea, we could still do the yellow rose stuff from DU, for example.
Surely someone there has thought of the hands free solution. I thought I saw Cindy using one in a more recent pic, but maybe I was dreaming.

Keep up the good work of brainstorming--and get your ideas to them.

4. hmmmmm
2 dozen yellow roses wholesale is about $60 - but if you ordered - (what's the count now? I saw an article say "nearly a thousand" - but isn't it more than that?) - let's say 1500 roses..... that's $3750 plus tax (6%?) $225 = 3975. AND - if you ordered that m any, you could probably get an even cheaper "per rose" price. Delivery fee?? noooooo idea.

But let's say no more than $5000 - probably less. There are how many people on DU alone? Even if you just asked for a $1.00. Or you could set it up to buy "a rose" for like $3.50 or just donate however much.

Just throwing out ballpark numbers. I could be way off

5. I wonder about car battteries for lighting
Early this AM someone said they needed candles for lighting. Camper units have big batteries for lighting, but car batteries will work too. If they go dead you just need a jumper unit and the car will recharge them.

I also wonder if they ever killed the fire ants. Someone at DU was going down and hoped to get some Diatomaceous Earth for the fire ants.

6. Flowere power
My thinking is that the crosses themselves need an image much along the lines of what DoYouEverWonder produced below. That way the crosses would have a purely Crawford marking and it would be more lasting.

It is strange that nobody has recalled the expression of the Vietnam era, "flower power." I think if a vendor had stood outside the rally Saturday with yellow roses, he would have made a killing.

9. Ahhh you forget Tyler is the rose capital of the world
Just up the road.
They have stands on the sides of the roads in the area (off I-20) if anyone is going through.
You can generally get a dozen for $3.00 (which would be around $500. for all of them).

10. Remember the roses we sent Senator Boxer?
If we can get these even close to the price lildreamer316 posted above, we should go for it.
