Can one person make a difference? Cindy has given us the answer.
Bush is hiding behind a pile of brush he's cleared, Cheney is in his undisclosed location, Rumsfeld is hunkered down in the bowels of the Pentagon, Rove is busy at his spin-the-world computer trying to make the sun rise in the west, Ann Coulter is attacking Bill O'Reilly, and Faux News is working as hard as possible to tell us that reality isn't reality.

We've got a Bush neighbor firing guns in the air, fundies going bugshit insane over their exposure to reality, and Frank Rich's NY Times column tearing the last shred of bullshit away from the theatrical set that the criminals running this country have erected over the past 4 1/2 years.

We've bitched, complained, shrieked, and cursed the existence of this administration, but it took one woman who lost her son to finally bring these beasts to account.

My point is that they're scared. And all that it needed was one human being with a righteous cause to expose them for the cowardly scum they are.

Thank you Cindy. You really are the first Rosa Parks of the 21st century.

1. Well, there hasn't been a difference YET.
A material difference, anyway. War's still going on, even as people get more and more fed up.

I think it's an article of faith that in a democracy, sooner or later the elected representatives bow to the will of the people. But it hasn't happened yet, and may not happen for years.

2. The time was right, and she took a stance......
Rosa Parks is a great example. I was also thinking of Alice Paul, having
recently seen the movie "Iron-Jawed Angels". She and her Women's
Party sisters kicked the sufferage movement out of it's seemingly terminal
doldrums by taking a stance and sticking to it through harrassment,
violence, and imprisonment. But they got the amendment passed.

So I think, it will be with Cindy. She WILL change the world.

3. Yes, one person CAN make a difference!
Cindy has shown all of us. I personally think it's over for Bush and his gang. Seriously, he's cornered like a rat. His poll numbers are at their lowest, a shitload of people disapprove of the war, the RW spin cycle is starting to spin itself out, more and more citizens and elected officials are rallying behind Cindy, I could go on and on. Yep, a big change is happening. Cindy is turning everything around.
