I have no TV, but I get the distinct impression the RW is falling apart.

WTF is it with the gun-toting yahoo in Crawford? And those stupid asshats shouting, "We dont care"?

Does anyone have recordings that can be authenticated? So far, I've heard about it and seen videos offered where the sound isn't clear. People were there and heard it, so I believe it happened, but it would be nice to have something to send to the media.

DISGRACEFUL! The news would be all over it if a Republican mother who lost a son in Iraq was "treated" to a mob screaming, "We don't care!"

1. I am also TV-less
Isn't it wonderful?

I think the latest anti-American bullsh*t is a serious miscalculation on the neo-cons part. Just like Terri Schiavo and the outing of an undercover CIA agent. These are all issues where a serious majority of Americans will stand up and say "Hell no!" True Americans are good people with humility and respect for humanity. We on the left spend so much time trying to convince the mis-led to see the truth but it is so much easier when the evil-doers are willing to show their true colors.

11. Figures. :(
I wonder how my brother and mother feel about the attempts to smear Cindy. They both think Drudge and Rush are the source of all knowledge. :( Yet my mother got angry when I told her what the freepers did to Andy. Doesn't she stop to think that the same type of people are smearing Cindy? *shakes head sadly*

Cindy Sheehan is very brave.

4. I'm afraid a disadvantage of not having a TV...
Edited on Sun Aug-14-05 05:12 PM by DeepModem Mom
is being unaware of how some things that are very important to us here at DU are perceived by others -- most of whom get their news from TV, if they get any at all. While these happenings are getting some coverage, they're getting nowhere near the attention they're getting here. That said, more people are aware now than before of what is happening to our country (and the world) under Bush and his cabal -- which is why his poll numbers are not what they used to be.

12. Yes, I've noticed this. I casually brought up the Downing Street Minutes
and the person I was talking with went, "What?"

Of course, I don't have many intelligent discussions in this town. The last time I went out for supplies, I was struck by how stupid the clerks seemed. I didn't like feeling that way. I tried to tell myself to have a softer heart, but it just seems like it's not getting any smarter out there. This town has a mean IQ of about 80, I think.

The lady at Staples suggested silicone for lubricating the fan on my graphics card. :wtf: The fan on my GPU (graphics processing unit) was making horrible noises and just needed a little WD-40.

Silicone? :wtf:

I just shook my head and left. This town is getting to me.

7. I think you are mistaken on one part. If this was a Republican mother
it wouldn't make a damn bit of difference. They would turn on her in a second like the attack dogs they are. By the time Drudge and the like were through the Republican mother would have been shipping arms to the insurgents.

10. I sure do. :) I've had him for eighteen years this month.

I figure he hatched in April or May of that year. :) He's a wonderful companion.

On edit: double the yellow...double the trouble. :D Here's a recent "Gabby" thread.

9. They always were: They've just lost their cover.
For about 5 years they felt like they had re-claimed their "god-given-right" to put down those over educated, rich, powerful elitist libruls. Now, they can't possibly give ground on having been wrong about iraq, but there's always a chance we can get the senate to get out. Politicians can turn on a dime, as soon as their pollsters tell them they're losing votes.
