They love the war so much because they don't have to carry the burden of the majority of the losses.

5. It makes sense for the seven most populous

states to have the seven largest death tolls.

The correspondence between population ranking and death toll gets fuzzy after the top 10 or 11 states. Then red/blue and rural/urban distinctions seem to gain a bit more umph.

I once saw a county-by-country apportionment of death tolls. It was somewhat more obvious with decreased granularity in the means of representing the data that strongly blue areas and strongly urban areas had lower per capita death rates in the war than strongly red and strongly rural areas.

sorry very bad joke. i often wonder how many of our guys over there are dems and how many repugs. i would imagine that, considering their socio-economic background, many are dems.

Enormous losses. Of the 199 casualties in California, one of those is Casey Sheehan. And all the others. What incalculable loss.
