Did you know yesterday was Justice Sunday II? -PIX->>>

I'm confused about that whole separation of church and state thing - is that over now?

Former Georgia Democratic Senator Zell Miller speaks during
Justice Sunday II at Two Rivers Baptist Church in Nashville,
Tennessee, August 14, 2005.

Kim Dell'Agnese of Nashville picks up a Save The Court Kit at Two
Rivers Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee, August 14,2005. The kit
is to help her understand some of the issues discussed during 'Justice
Sunday'. Christian conservative leaders used the 'Justice Sunday
' rally to criticize activist judges but chose not to endorse U.S.
President George W. Bush's nominee for the Supreme Court, John
Roberts. (M. J. Masotti, Jr./Reuters)

1. But the big question here is:
Did Zell challenge God to a duel?

3. I saw Tom DeLay on the Houston news this morning
I wasn't fully awake yet, but he was blabbering on in a church about activist judges.

7. They didn't talk to him
Just showed a short clip of him speaking at a church. What really cracked me up was that he was wearing a headset microphone AND holding a microphone in his hand.

8. I heard a recording of Delay speech from
yesterday on NPR this morning.

I sort of tuned out most of his blather but I did hear him mispronounce the word "supremacy. " He said "supreeeemacy."

What a dolt.

9. So Weak
Have to say I had planned on writing a huge piece about Justice Sunday, but due to the weakness of the event and the participants involved I decided to find other more importants things to research.

10. Good Choice and Welcome to DU!
I'm so glad to see that Zell Miller is there. This will help to put this whole event in the goofy bin.

They did not support Roberts? Wow, I thought he was a shoe in.
I'm sure they can find someone worse.

I think Zell should challenge Roberts to a du-el.

12. Just seeing that pic of Zell warms my heart.
I always enjoyed watching him on on C-SPAN, ranting and raving like a complete loon on the Senate floor. I really miss that guy. What a nutcase. Good thing he was there to bring credibility to the gathering. Otherwise I would have dismissed the group as being just a bunch of whackos. ;)

16. oh, you know, the one that crosses out "thou shall not kill", and
"thou shall not covet they neighbor's wife, or anything of thy neighbors"

because then they'd have to realize the war in Iraq is a sin.
