Why?

Perhaps a visit/phone call/email to the ombudsman or letter to the editor might motivate them to pick up a wire story.

Even the ultra-conservative Boston Herald had did a piece with a local angle, interviewed someone returning from Crawford. See the Massachusetts forum.
