"kidnapping members of Congress...."
Handmaid's Tale anyone....??

""In the training scenario, a congressional delegation is kidnapped at Fort Bragg. The soldiers will try to rescue them. Then, a fake chemical weapon explodes in the area.

Officials said the realistic drills are the soldiers' best preparation for the worst.

Leaders say the drill will go on over a five-day period.

Some North Carolina congressional representatives will observe, even role-play, in the exercise. State officials will be watching as well. They will use the exercise to determine how much a response on such a grand scale would cost.

Motorists in the Fort Bragg Area could run into delays because of the training. All checkpoints will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

3. It depends on who they snatch up. My guess is John Conyers or
Barbara Boxer or Dennis K. Someone they can't stand, of course.

4. wait, can we do that?
kindapping Congressmen, I mean. it's a weird idea. because, honestly, what's the point, beyond getting their family upset? you can always get another one.

I'm sorry, I don't mean to be so facetious, but this just struck me as strangely humorous. Then again, I am sleep-deprived and cake-fueled right now...
