Stop the Presses! In the country that has the highest divorce rate in the
world...someone is getting divorced!
Last I heard that divorce was generally between two people and their children where indicated.
Now that we know Cindy's husband has filed for divorce, can we talk about someone else...or at least give equal time to the people that make up the other part of the 50% of Americans that file...
In solidarity with Cindy, I'm gonna file for divorce...Oh wait, I already did that!:silly:

1. I've already been divorced twice, I doubly support her.
What's the big deal... That happens to a whole lot of families after the death of a child... it's very commonplace.

7. exactly.
It is another non-issue.
I also know alot of people that stay married until the kids grow up and leave home until they get divorced.
I have a friend that is in loveless marriage. He has been in it for many many years. His wife is addicted to pain medication and stays in bed all the time. She has two children from a previous marriage that she lost in a custody battle. She told him many times that she would kill herself if she lost her two children she has now.
They haven't slept together in many years. But, he won't leave and take the kids and he won't leave the kids with her because she is unsafe.
So..in 5 years when he is age 53, he will get a divorce. The kids will be 18 by then.
So in the event that he becomes a famous person by then which just so happens to coincide with any event, will he be smeared as a man who left his family? Or a man who kept his family together at a great personal cost? Seems to me it would highly depended if he voted Democratic or Republican.

4. Even St. Ronnie Reagan was a divorced man
I wonder if Newt and Pigboy will have the hypocritical gall to use this against her - silly me, of course they will.

5. I think the answer to the Right Wing's insistence on being nosy is...
"First let's discuss Rush's drug use"
"Next, let's listen to the stalking, sexual harassment tapes from O'Reilly"
"Let's google and see how much money Bennett lost while gambling"
"How many years was Bush a drunk?"
"Did Laura ever get frustrated enough to, perhaps, think about leaving Bush throughout those years?"

Their own personal lives are exempt - they are truly The Town Gossip types.

8. It is a sad fact, but a lot of couples break up
when a child dies. They both blame themselves and each other and cannot work past it and it is so sad. Just another casualty of this war...

10. Yep.
Divorce of the parents of the dead soldiers and divorce of the soldiers who live are at astronomical rates. Nobody seems to address it though.

9. Repukes who've been divorced:
Newt Gingrich
Ronald Reagan
Rudolph Guiliani
Neil Bush
George Allen
John Warner
John McCain
Rush Limbaugh
Dick Armey
Phil Gramm
Bob Barr
Bob Dole

And that's just off the top of my head.

Divorce is a private matter and obviously has nothing to do with one's politics. Anyone who wants to make an issue of this seriously needs to get a life.
