I hate to say it but...
... the ultimate undoing of George W. Bush and the Repugs may be due to the skyrocketing gas prices, and not the 1001 other far more serious reasons (take your pick) that they really should be brought down for.

Oh the irony... oilmen ultimately defeated by ... oil.

1. Nope...

Oilmen raking in untold profits will not bring anyone down. This has been in the works for almost a generation. Can you not see the connection between the automakers marketing these giant SUV's for years now and the spiralling cost of fuel? Just a coincidence? I think not.
And, really, after reaping $$billions$$ in oil profits for yrs., do you really think it would bother any filthy rich capitalists if whatever gov't they've bought and paid for at the time is 'brought down?'. This is one giant cycle - republicans, dem's they are all the same - they all answer to the almighty dollar.

2. They are buying up alternative enegery tech too, so that when the oil
runs out they can still gouge us for $$.

But first, they gotta milk us over the oil.

14. As long as people hold onto...

this preconcieved, manufactured ideal that your vote counts, the longer it will take for people to wake up and realize that all of these politicians are out for one thing - $$$.
Go ahead, vote the repukes out in 2006 & 2008 - does anyone actually believe things will change? Look at your dem leaders - They should be shouting from the rooftops about these '1001' other crimes this administration is currently embroiled in. What do you hear, what do you see? I see Hilary Clinton fighting sex in video games. I never hear a thing from John Kerry - WHY? All smoke and mirrors people, all the little scenery that distracts and enables a criminal empire to continue raping and pillaging your country and the world for profits.
If any of your so-called saviour Democratic leaders had 1% of the courage, integrity and spirit of Cindy Sheehan, than maybe, just maybe I would share your optimism.

13. Suck it dry and burn it down, the neocon plan for America.
Watch America's assets disappear.

Time to go back and read Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged". The wealthy industrialists are gods you know. Capitalists give, and capitalists taketh away, so best not to question their motives. Insist they take responsibility for their destructive acts & they'll pull the plug permanently, just to teach the thankless masses a lesson.

28. "republicans, dem's they are all the same "
You got that right. I think the Democrats are the lesser of the two evils. And it certainly would be better if the Democrats controlled Congress now; they wouldn't rubber-stamp everything Bush wants. Who knows, he might even be impeached.

But both major parties belong to Big Business and that's who they answer to.

3. I grew up in an oil producing state - what I know about oilmen
is that they are ethically challenged (to put it mildly)and some would just call them crooks and liars. They have no boundaries when it comes to getting their way. When this country decided to hire two oilmen to run it I knew we were in for something really, really different. It is not oil that is bringing them down - it is greed.

23. Spell it out for ya...

Sorry to be so vague...instead of saying something along the lines of "war profiteering, profit gouging, unethical, lying, do/say anything to get a nation to war, corrupt, silver-spooned, blue blooded, elitist corporate thugs", I used the term 'oilman'. Is it not implied? Were some honest 'oilmen' actually offended?

25. If you don't know what an oil man is, just say so.
I know hundreds of people in the business here locally, and none match your description. Theres 37 oil producing states, with millions of people employed in, Drilling,Production,Construction,Distribution, surely you can come up with a less than sarcastic answer, heaven forbid you actually educate yourself a little.

29. Geez, give it a rest.

Sorry if I offended you. You didn't actually think we meant the entire industry did you? It seems everyone eles understood the meaning. Think of people like the ENRON exec's, scumbags like that. That's the kind of people we are talkng about - people with too much power. Not the people indirectly employed by the industry itself. Got it now?

6. Sorry for being a downer
I hope you're right, but my concern is that a fascist regime is strengthened the more it opposes the will of the people. In the past, the people have been able to bring fascists down, but in these modern times I fear they have enough devices of control to have their way forever.

You see all of Bushco's numerous attacks on America have been the way they show their authority over us, and the way they remind us of how powerless we are to stop them.

7. The Important Thing Is That He's Going To Be Undone
"In the end, all dictators are destroyed by the enemies they create"

It's been proven throughout history, tyrants who oppress their people are in the end deafeted by them.

9. I don't share your optimism
These fascists have technology and tacitcs at their disposal they never had in the past. The media controls the thinking of the weak minded, and the government has weapons and military and police that the public could never match. Voting is rigged, and we have no way to protest because most of us are indentured to corporation(s) or else we lose our homes. In addition, these fascists have means and methods of controling the masses that probably can't even be imagined.
