people running things are, consecutively, a fool, a throwback, and a man whose motives I don't understand.

Bush is an idiot (on a good day), the new Pope is someone out of the dark ages, and Tony Blair is an intelligent man whose motives I can't begin to guess at.

These people run the three largest power centers on the planet, yet history seems to have converged to give us these three men. Assuming there's a "God," he/she/it has some sense of humor.

Let's face it. If you had the power to create a planet and the (so-called) human species, is this the one you would have produced? Full disclosure: I'm a devout agnostic, but if there is some sort of supreme being, he/she/it is a total incompetent, IMO.

4. A new world is coming. Where people take their own responsibility

for the way things are run. They will have a new view of the world. They will be world citizens, not citizens of one little city. The genie is out of the bottle.
