We're instead going to end up with an Islamic state, which for the next few years will be ruled by a strong man that's friendly to US oil interests and bribed liked hell, but eventually will be overthrown by a real fundy, which in turn will force the US to invade once again...

But then again, we'll likely still have troops there so it shouldn't call for another invasion.
