Is Cindy really leaving Crawford?
I was listening to our local AirAmerica station here in Cincy during the rebroadcast of Randi Rhodes and it was reported on the news that Cindy is leaving Camp Casey. Does anyone have anymore information on this? The brief reason given was that she was tired of other causes getting lumped in with legitimate anti-war efforts. Please report if someone has a link.

Thanks

2. Huh?! The sheriff said he'd sleep better if she no longer camped out.
But she's not leaving until the 31st or until Bush meets with her.

14. Well, as soon as possible would be quite some time ago. . .
nothing holding her there but her own determination, so if she decided to leave she'd be gone. seems to me, we'd have heard of her departure by now.

15. I am sure you are not making it up but it could have been a
strategically planted rumor. Lots of that stuff is floating around the Internet trying to deflate and discredit her presence.

12. No need to stay in Crawford if Bush isn't there anymore
Though I thought I'd heard that she would follow him to Washington. That might be a bit much to ask, though.

She was staying in Crawford as long as Bush was on vacation down there.

I am amazed that Cindy is still standing. Everywhere she turns people are asking her questions or just wanting to say, "Hi." I have not seen her lose her cool once. Even when the media asks her pointed questions she responds in a calm, peaceful way. Every time I see her she smiles at me or gives me a hug. If it were me, by this point I would be in hiding.

It is Cindy's loving spirit that has drawn so many to her cause. Casey was a lucky man to have a mother like Cindy. The peace movement needed a loving voice like this to get through the frustration of being ignored for the last few years.

A mother who lost her son on 9/11 has just arrived. Her son was a police cadet who went to help people get out of the towers. I asked her what she thought of the 9/11 Freedom March that is being planned by the Pentagon to beam to the troops. She said that it sickens her that they are still exploiting her grief to justify a war that has nothing to do with her sons death. We must not forget that in the coming weeks Bush's administration will do everything they can do to exploit 9/11.

Many Catholic Workers have arrived and they are rolling up their sleeves and cooking dinner. People are arriving from all over the world, Australia, England, Japan, Germany, and Austria to name a few.

Even Pig Farmers from Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas. There is a lot of excitement both at the Peace House and Camp Casey. If you can't make it to Crawford, people are setting up Camp Casey's all over the country, start one in your community if there isn't one already. And get ready now to go to Washington for September 24th

27. Okay now someone had to come on and get nasty.
Listen I know what was reported on the news. I heard exactly what was said. It was reported on our local 1530 am airAmerica station here in Cincy. Someone on this board said that this is a rumor. I just wanted to know if there was more information out there about that. I'm still trying to find out more information.

28. Cindy wrote a dispatch
about this very thing. I've been trying to think of where I read it. The sheriff asked her to stay in town at night. In her update, Cindy explained that all.

I could've seen it on DU for all I know.

I suggested that since you were the only person who heard this, you might want to get your hearing checked. If you choose to take offense, go right ahead.

32. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my hearing.
There is something wrong with the reporting of the news. Why don't you table the snarky comments. I'm interested in trying to find a way to contact the news channel that has reported this. They need to retract the story or explain.

Here ya go.... "By the way, in case I forgot to blog it last night, the Sheriff has requested that I stay down in Crawford during the night, because he is afraid for my safety after he leaves. He said he would "sleep better" himself at night if I came into town to sleep. Judging from the shooting guns, I guess he was right."

It was on the front page and then over to http://www.huffingtonpost.com/theblog/archive/cindy-sheehan/day-9-at-camp-casey_5665.html">Huffington Post for more
