When it comes to tying Cindy to Move On, Common Dreams, ...
Edited on Mon Aug-15-05 10:25 PM by tk2kewl
Huffington, Moore, et al... we need to get out in front of this. This tactic is less about discrediting Cindy than trying to put the idea in peoples heads that these groups are on the fringe; they are not. They stand for truth, open government, social sanity and the Constitution of the U.S.

people who are following this story will check those sites out and discover these "extreme leftwing groups" are telling the truth.

2. maybe the ones who aren't lazy...
but the RW noise machine is trying to put the idea in peoples heads that these groups are fringe so that when ads are run and paid for in 06 people will say, "oh, that's those Move On group of radicals" and dismiss the whole thing... they were doing the same with Rove's comment about liberal aiding terrorists. "he wasn't talking about Senators, he was talking about Move On and Michael Moore"

4. sooner or later people actually see what they have to say
Moore's films are very popular. Moveon's ads are very clever.

I wouldn't sweat the association.

3. I think it is about discrediting Cindy
she has more credibility when she speaks for herself, rather than being a creation of some established activist organization, whatever the politics of that organization.

And I'd say the same thing about Moore. His movies are his own voice. He can work alongside MoveOn, etc. and Sheehan can too, but they are not creations of those groups.

5. it's both...
look out how the RW noise machine said Rove didn't mean Reps and Senators when he said liberal were aiding terrorists, he meant Move On and Moore. They want John Q Public to think these are fringe groups
