BUSH APPROVES DESTRUCTION OF CROSSES HONORING THE DEAD.
Unless he says otherwise, on National TV, sometime before 8am CDT, 16 August 2005.

And, we should all be demanding, via emails to President@whitehouse.gov, that he get up with the dawn on August 16, 2005 and join Cindy Sheehan and others in repairing and restoring the crosses in the Crawford ditch.

It's the least a hard-working, good ol'boy Christian can do.

This is the second in the series of "memes".

The first is "BUSH KILLED HER SON AND DESTROYED HER FAMILY":

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=104&topic_id=4359424&mesg_id=4359424

Expect more.

Make it stick folks.

Peace.

Don't want to disturb your cookies and milk, Georgie, but it's time for you to get in front of the press and condemn what happened down the road from your prairie chapel ....

You can then take a much deserved nap ...

I ran that idea up the flagpole to my hubby earlier and he isn't buying it. He's convinced it's a local yahoo who had a few and got the brilliant, drunken idea to go out and show them 'librals' what's up in Texas. We talked about the gov't infiltrating and disrupting peace marches and union organizing and he agreed about that completely. But he's not as hip as your mom on this one!

13. This could be a HUGE opportunity
for the liberal side to effectively take back the cross from the neo-cons (not that they want or need it, but some resent it having been co-opted).

What better imagery than what occurred tonight, to demonstrate who really stands against the cross (and what it represents -- and not just in a cemetery).

30. I totally agree
And if Bush ever condemns this, I'll alter the handbill accordingly, for you are 100% correct - we must never stoop to lies. If we fail in the truth, we forfeit everything we stand for. But I'll bet dollars to doughnuts Bush will not condemn this, and if he does, he will do it in his sideways manner whereby a great circle will be navigated, ending, as usual, in soundbites without substance.

32. The silence is deafening
Where are the Republican voices regarding Camp Casey? I don't expect them to support what Cindy Sheehan is doing or saying, but why aren't they publicly speaking out against the harassment the protestors are suffering. They scream First Amendment whenever anybody tries to limit corporate campaign donations yet have no problem with "Free Speech Zones" miles from where Bush is speaking.

They have trotted out their favorite strawman - the Flag Burning Amendment -yet are silent when a pickup truck runs over and desecrates hundreds of American flags at Camp Casey.

They want the Ten Commandments posted everywhere and claim that "people of faith" are being persecuted by Democratic filibusters, yet are silent when hundreds of crosses planted by sincere people of faith are desecrated. Hypocrites, every one of them.

Bush has painted himself into a corner and too much time has passed for him to meet with Cindy Sheehan now. He won't or can't admit to making a mistake and is trapped in his own "stay the course" bullshit.

However, the fact that he hasn't spoken out and requested that the harassment stop implies that he enjoys what his surrogates and sycophants are doing. What a small, vindicative bully he is.

Those are crosses with the names of honorable soldiers who you sent to their deaths because of your illegal war on Iraq.

Those are American flags crushed in the mud.

Your silence is anticipated because you are a coward, a traitor, a murderer, a torturer and the most anti-American occupant of the White House in the history of the USA.
