Is it just me or is Air America radio's windows stream on the fritz? it seems to do more buffering then playing, like a minute of buffering for ten seconds of content

yah its really sad when it gets to the point where you cant even understand what's going on, that or it waits like ten minutes to reconnect or buffer, I usually listen to it while I'm relaxing... freaks me out sometimes hearing it come back on cause I am not expecting it

I won't be able to listen online again. (Too many connection errors has convinced my PC that the AAR site is unstable.)

8. Extreme server load

That's my theory. This is the first day ever that we haven't been able to listen to Randi live using either player since they introduced Windows Media support.

There must be extreme interest in the cross vandalism situation in Crawford, and folks like us in the West don't want to wait for tape-delayed radio programming.

It's tough. In our office, we prefer Randi over Ed, but we'll take KQKE over nothing.

i remember listening to ed while my dad was driving me home from my dorm... it was bad reception though most of the time the engine noises would go through the same frequency oddly

Network and opensource geeks like me try to push technologies that work, we just always seem to get shut down by industry fads and well financed corporate campaigns to jam content over networks that were not designed to support the traffic, not to mention general user unwillingness to do without a few bells and whistles for enhanced security and reliability.

As a collective community, the users only have themselves to blame. Ok, well maybe we can blame the industry leaders too, but some of it is just sheer unwillingness to switch to more stable/secure applications/platforms.

I switched to wjno and even that stream was inconsistent. I decided to listen to Tony Trupiano and hope that they will get things sorted ou before Malloy is on.

Are there any other stations that carry AAR that provide internet audio?
Especially any that don't do time shifts to carry other shows that overlap Randi's slot.
