OReilly calls for the President to put a Bullet through Al Franken's Head!
Edited on Tue Sep-30-03 05:14 AM by Must_B_Free
What the hell is wrong with this madman.

Why do conservatives always have to shoot everyone when they are wrong?

Says in Andrew Jackson's day he would have put a bullet between Al Franken's eyes.

(I have to admit, if anyone could get shot in the head and make it funny, it would be Al Franken. I can just see him looking crosseyed at the bullethole with his "goofy retard guy" look. Maybe in a skit. )

But What a stupid ass Oreilly is.

Says he wasn't behind the lawsuit, had nothing to do with it, then claims he's glad he pushed for it. How stupid does he think people are?

in Andrew Jackson's day, he would've been writing pamphlets encouraging the slaughter of Indians.

2. In an older age O'Reilly would be arrested
for doing this... it used to be a federal offense
but when another pubbie called for the killing of
Federal Agents, during the Waco debacle, they are
increasingly shrill.

If they loose in 2004 and they cannot wiggle out of
it... we may see many of their followers take up
arms and drive this country to a civil war

4. Well, look at it this way....
One day, one of O'Reilly's readers will get pissed at having wasted $20 on his book and provide him the same opportunity he insists others should experience.

Cheers.

6. Aside from the obvious...
fact that we're not living in Jackson's day, just when was it permissable to blow someone's brains out for calling him a liar?

Perhaps he wishes for the return of the duel?

A glove in the face and pistols at 30 paces. Ahh, the good old days. Such a fine way of settling accounts and dealing with insults.

It was even better when they used swords.

7. Who cares?
O'Reilly is nothing more than a posturing, sawggering blowhard, with all the class of an East London prostitute, all the truthfulness of a hardened criminal taking the stand in his own defence, and all the credibility of the Weekly World News. Paying any attention to him at all only gives him validation (and the attention he obviously craves and thrives on).

9. The President ?

Show me where O'Reilly called for the president to put a bullet through Al Frankens head !

It never happened.

He said if this were the wild west days he would call Franken out and have a duel.

I hate O'Reilly as much as anyone, but accuracy is important.

10. He's still fuming about this
It's hilarious and it's pathetic.

Here's the quotation from Time...

DO YOU REGRET PUSHING THE LAWSUIT AGAINST AL FRANKEN?
Not at all. This man is being run by some very powerful forces in this country, and we needed to confront it. I was ambushed at a book convention. He got up in front of a national audience and called me a liar for 20 minutes. President Andrew Jackson would have put a bullet between his eyes.

Read it on Time

Time Magazine today! It made me want to puke! But, I must say I love the cover of the magazine and its accompanying story inside. :) I remember after the BookTv event(with Franken), when he said that he kind of wished that he had lived a couple of hundred years ago, when he could have challenged Franken to a duel. LOL! Bill has a lot of anger, seriously. I remember at the BookTv event when he really lost his temper and told Al to SHUT UP! I started laughing. :)

13. The first time O'Really used this "duel" thread, the exact quote was:
"I would shoot him between the head."

19. He made an ass out of Bill O
at the Book expo when he told how Bill had never won a Peabody award, but a Polk instead. Bill was very upset :)

Here's a link to Franken interviews on NPR Fresh air where he discusses O'Reilly and the book.
