Toady is too nice a word for Norm Coleman
I need a better one to describe the sleazebag senator from Minnesota.

<snip>
When critics claimed he'd be a yes-man for the Bush administration, Norm Coleman the candidate had a ready response: He'd stand his ground against the president on key issues like opposing drilling in the arctic wilderness and supporting trade with Cuba.

"I will tell the president, 'Mr. President, I think you're wrong,' " Coleman told Minnesota voters during the 2002 U.S. Senate campaign.

1. Coleman is just a suck up
who wants to be in the power group. They'll never let him in; he's just an amateur gofer.

Normy was inducted into the Masons on July 21, 2003. Now he can hang out with the big guys.

2. I guess they are expecting
him to vote for drilling in the Arctic Refuge in exchange for a bribe for some power plant. He's a sleaze!

4. Was this guy really a roadie??

For some reason, the local D.C. news had a piece on Coleman, and they said he was (in his youth) a roadie for Ten Years After!

(youngsters, ask your parents).

Is this true? If so, how the mighty have fallen.

8. Did anyone hear that bit on NPR about fed.loan guarantees for a start-up
coal gasification plant to produce electricity.. It seems that this company wants federal loan guarantees for its investors because it believes that it won't be able to release carbon-dioxide into the air indefinitely (Democratic administration coming.) Carbon-dioxide is the major producer of global warning, and they can't put it into the ground in northern Minnesota.

So Colemen and Domenici got together in the dead of night(like all good repugs do) and put this federal loan guarantee into the Energy Bill, when it hadn't been in either the House or the Senate version. And Domenici got Colemen to commit to ANWR drilling and devastation.

Really nice: the future of the planet sold for $$.He is a total slug.
