Americans should Connect the dots.

Really with gas prices so high shouldn't they understand that Bush, Cheney and the rest of them want gas prices to be so high so their buddies in the oil & gas industry can make supeR profits.

1. Gas prices are high
because we keep driving.

3. Conserve, Conserve, Conserve!
Why do people act like it's so wacky to conserve gas? If for no other reason, to save money! We have made lots of changes around here. Of course we stil drive (we live in LA!) but started a carpool with my daugter's school; take the subway on late school days (Tuesday & Thursday.) We go to the beach less; we walk to the produce store instead of driving to the supermarket.

I ration myself on the gas and never fill up more than once ever 10 days -- half what I was using. Seriously -- why do people like to burn up their money when there are alternatives for cutting down?

5. I'm suggesting...
that the era of cheap oil is over forever. From now on, if you don't like the price of gas, stop driving.

The peak is here now.

4. Oh, I.m SURE the high price of gas is legitimate, with those
refineries "going down" and everything else. No price fixing here!
No investors would artificially raise oil prices. It's just as legitimate as the CA energy crisis of 2000:

6.  " Drivers Undeterred by High Gas Prices" -
Honolulu Star Bulletin : http://starbulletin.com/2005/08/16/business/index4.html

..... "Almost two-thirds of those surveyed for an AP-AOL poll said they expect fuel costs to cause them financial hardship. That was up from April, when only about half felt that way. Still, there is little evidence that this has led to meaningful changes in driving habits.

Experts point to a wide range of reasons why U.S. consumers and businesses have, in aggregate, absorbed higher energy prices and maintained a healthy appetite for fuel.".....
